Intel Speedstep Applet - this application is for use on computers with
Intel Speedstep speed switching processors only. This software will
allow your computer to run at a slower processor speed while on battery
power only, thus saving battery power and keeping operating temperature
lower. When on AC power, the system will run at full processor speed.

- Download the file to your hard disk drive, making sure to keep track of
where you choose to save it. Dell recommends saving the file to your
desktop.
- Double click on the downloaded file to begin the driver extraction
process.
- Click on OK at the driver information pop up window.
- Accept the default extraction directory (C:DellDriversSSEng) or enter
an alternate directory to use. You may run SETUP.EXE from this directory
if you wish to complete the driver installation at a later time. Click
on "Unzip" to extract the files to your hard drive.
- When the extraction process has completed, click on OK.
- An internet explorer window will open. Click on the "Install Now"
button to install the Intel Speedstep application.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation process.
- You will be required to restart your computer after completing the
driver installation.
