1 Plug the Linksys Wireless-G PCI card to the pc and turn the personal computer on. Log in as ordinary.
two Navigate to “System,” Administration,” Networking” and opt for the wireless connection you want to use. If no connection is obtainable along with your card is plugged in, carry on to Stage 3.
three Click on “Properties” and ensure “Enable this connection” is turned on.
4 Set “Configuration” to “Static IP address” only if your Net Support Supplier has provided you a static Internet Protocol (IP) address. Enter the IP deal with within the needed discipline and click “OK.”
five Check to find out if your card is supported. If your Linksys Wireless-G PCI card isn’t supported through the native Linux driver, test to see if your card is supported by “ndiswrapper” (see Resources).
6 Navigate towards the “Applications” menu and pick “Accessories” and “Terminal” to install ndiswrapper. Enter the command “sudo apt-get install ndisgtk.”
